JIM MCKIBBIN With sadness our family announces the passing of Jim McKibbin on May 6, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 72. He was predeceased by his parents, Les and Carrie McKibbin and sister Kay McRae. There are many special people who will miss Jim. He is survived by his wife Darlene and his daughters, Shelly and Kerry (both of Calgary), sons-in-law, David and Dennis and his four grand-children, John, Michael, Morgan and Will; along with his numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. After 25 years with Gulf Oil, (Winnipeg, Calgary and Regina), Jim brought his family back to his hometown of Winnipeg in 1981. He bought Cedarman Lumber and finally retired at the ripe young age of 70, selling the business to his longtime friend and employee. Jim will miss trail riding, snowmobiling and boating at Grand Beach. Whenever Jim ventured out to the beach alone we always knew he was well looked after by his Grand Beach family and friends. He will also miss going south to Padre Island, Texas with good friends. We were blessed to have you in our lives. Your persistence and determination were present right to the end. A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Monday, May 14 at 1:00 p.m. at Harrow United Church, 955 Mulvey Ave. The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors of the MICU at the HSC for their loving care of Jim and his family during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba Foundation Inc. 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 9Z9 or the Canadian Diabetes Assoc. Box 26331 STN BRM B, Toronto, ON M7Y 4R1.
