ERNST GRASS On Tuesday, May 8, 2007 at the Bethania Personal Care Home, Ernst Grass, beloved husband of Helen of 32 years, died at the age of 93 years. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Hedwig Mross, Anita (Oz) Pedde, Gudrun Grass; also seven grandchildren, Dagmar (Warren) Hill, Gordon (Julie) Mross, Norman (Dedra) Mross, John (Teresa) Grass, Richard (Petra) Pedde, Michael (Nicole) Pedde, Jennifer (Werner) Tiede; 16 great-grand-children, two great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Ernst was predeceased by his first wife, Elfriede in 1972, son-in-law Werner Mross in 2000 and son Walter in 2006. Ernst immigrated to Canada in 1952 with his family and worked hard all his life in a variety of jobs including construction, foundry work and lastly as maintenance in Health Sciences Centre. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. at Mission Baptist Church, 771 Sargent Avenue, with interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Viewing at the church prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Nutimik, P.O. 34006, RPO Fort Richmond, Winnipeg, MB R3T 5T5. The family expresses their grateful thanks to the Emergency staff at Concordia and the loving care received at Bethania Personal Care Home.
