HELEN SETLAK Helen was born Heliena Mirgalowski on March 22, 1921, a daughter of Anthony and Teenie Mirgalowski of Prawda, MB. She was the eldest of seven sisters. In 1938 she married John Setlak of Hadashville, MB. Helen passed away at Vita Hospital on May 10, 2007. She had lived at the Vita Care Home for less than two weeks, where she spoke very highly of the staff and of the care that she received. Helen was predeceased by her husband John, in 1992, by her son Eddie, on March 13 of this year and by her sister Lucy. She is survived by her daughter Janet McCallum (Dave); daughter-in-law Evelyn; two grandchildren, Debbie (Steve) and Chico; two great-grandchildren, Niasha and Adam and by five sisters, Phyllis, Jean, Valerie, Vicky and Lillian. She will also be sadly missed by her friend of later years, Eddie Szandrewski. Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Road.
