Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLORRAINE PLISCHKE (nee BRETHAUER) It is with deep sorrow that I announce the sudden passing of my dearest mother, Lorraine Plischke, on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at St. Boniface General Hospital at the age of 77. Lorraine is survived by her loving son Allan; aunt Olga Brethauer; cousins, Don Brethauer, Eleanor Dreger and Dave Rhodes; her adopted sons; mother-in-law, sister-in-law and brother-in-law; nieces and nephew. She was predeceased by her husband Ted (Theodore) in 1992, and her parents, Molly and Henry Brethauer. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 370 McKenzie Street with Pastor Bill Lehman officiating. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Brethauer, Phil Sam, Howard Schulman, Wayne Hinkel, Royal Rhodes and Christopher Rankin. Honourary pallbearers will be Keith Rankin, Dave Rhodes and Ihor Pawlyshyn. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to Dr. Susan Hauch for her wonderful care of my mother and her understanding and support during this difficult time; as well as the doctors, nurses and staff of both 6th floor Medicine at St. Boniface General Hospital and P.A.C.U. at Health Sciences Centre. If friends so desire, donations may be made in Lorraine's memory to the St. Boniface General Hospital Research Foundation Inc., Cardiac Research or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba. Alan, I was a small child when I first met your mother and I thought she was a Princess. She was so beautiful, kind and loving. I am Uncle John's niece (Aunt Grace's sister's child) Barbara Granish. I just heard today that your Mom had passed and I felt an immediate loss. I cannot forget her kindness to a 5 year old child --she certainly left an impression.
