Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROGER JOSEPH ALPHONSE LORTEAU Peacefully after a brief and courageous battle with cancer, Dad passed away on May 9, 2007, at the age of 65 at Riverview Health Centre. Dad leaves his legacy to his loving wife of 44 years, Noella; daughters, Sharon, Deborah, Nicole (Lance) and Theresa (Bryon); son Marcel; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Rose, Chantelle and Sarah. Dad has been reunited with his special angel and grandson Beau Jais. Dad leaves behind many memories to his sisters, brother, many nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. Dad was born in Woodridge, MB. He was raised on the family farm in Horze, MB. He had many occupations throughout his life; the most important one was working at Deer Lodge Centre until his early retirement. Dad was involved in many community groups and enjoyed many Metis events. Dad was elected President of the Bleak House and enjoyed working with many of his friends and colleagues. Our family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Owen Williams, Dorothy, Linda, Big bad Barb, Karen and all the staff at Riverview on 3E who took special care of Dad. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews St. Winnipeg, MB. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church. A reception and time of fellowship will be held at the Bleak House, 1637 Main Street, following both the prayers and the funeral service. Interment will be held at a later date. Dad was brave and fought right to the end. In honour of dad's strength and bravery and in lieu of flowers, donations to the Bleak House Senior Centre, Manitoba Metis Federation Bereavement Fund and Riverview Health Centre Foundation, would be greatly appreciated.
