MICHAEL JOSEPH SKIBA Peacefully, with his family by his side, Michael Joseph Skiba passed away in his sleep at the age of 65. Mike will be lovingly remembered by his wife Dorothy; children, Kevin (Pam), Darryl (Sabina), Kelly (Jodi), Christa (Calvin); grandchildren, Sydney, Logan and Rylan. He is survived by his sisters, Elsie (Edward), Marjorie (Eric); brother Eddie (Janice), and brother-in-law Rudy. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Nellie, and sister Lorraine. Mike was born on September 16, 1941 in Meleb, MB, where he spent his childhood and youth on the family farm. He moved to Winnipeg in his late teens where he went back to school to become an electrician to support his family, while his wife stayed home to raise their children. Dad loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing in his younger days. He also enjoyed being at the lake with his family and friends. He was a sports enthusiast and loved his cars. We will miss his wonderful sense of humour and his ability for telling a story. Sleep well Dad. You have run a difficult, but successful race and we thank God for your presence in our lives. We already miss you terribly. Special thanks to the staff at Concordia Hospital. A private family memorial service will be held at Korban Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
