ALMA CARLSON On Friday, May 11, 2007, surrounded by her beautiful family, our Mom passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus. Mom was predeceased by her husband Alfred (1975); her sons, Edward (1968), Allan (2000); her brothers Alex and Dan Desjarlais, and son-in-law Lou Engel (2006). Mom and Dad moved into the Brooklands area in 1956 and raised their family. Our mom was able to remain in her home and live a quality life, due to the love and dedication of her daughters, Beverley and Rosemary. She loved living in her home which made her feel very independent. She will be lovingly remembered by her remaining children, Alfrey and Rudy LeBlanc, Alice Engel, George, Beverley, Evelyn and Lional Chaput, Rita and Larry, Rosemary and Greg Close, Debbie and Ken Burky, Glen and Judy, Rick and Lisa, Sylvia and Doug Hallett and Sheldon. Our Mom had many grandchildren and great- grandchildren whom she loved each and everyone so dearly and who will miss her as will her faithful companions Cheeks and Reba. Thank you to Dr. C. Tran for taking such great care of our mom for the last 13 years. Thanks to the nurses and doctors in the Seven Oaks Hospital I.C.U.; Katrina, Wendy, Warren and Ryan. Our Mom appreciated the care all of you gave her. You all have a special place in our hearts. This is not Good-Bye Mom, but until we meet again sleep peacefully, we will miss you so much. Viewing will take place on Wednesday, May 16 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue (Aubrey Street entrance) at 6:00 p.m. with the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Ray Cornish officiating.
