JESSIE GOOD (nee JOHNSON-BAKER) December 24, 1914 May 14, 2007 It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Jessie Good at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg on May 14, 2007 at the age of 92. Jessie is survived by her son Walter (Roberta) and granddaughters, Kelly and Carolyn. She was predeceased by her husband Clayton in 1984. Jessie was born in Jacques Fontaine, NF, but spent most of her early life in Grand Bank. She moved to Toronto with Clayton and her son in 1946 but was always a proud Newfoundlander and continued to think of Newfoundland as home , returning to visit relations and friends on numerous occasions. For many years she worked at O.H.I.P. and volunteered for the Red Cross and The Scott Mission. In her spare time she loved going to church, playing cards with friends, reading and doing puzzles. In 2003 she moved to Winnipeg to be closer to her family. Cremation has taken place and her remains will be interred along with her husband Clayton at Beechwood Cemetery in Toronto in a private ceremony. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff of CD2 at Riverview for their kindness, compassion and friendship to Jessie over the past three years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Scott Mission, 502 Spadina Ave., Toronto, ON. M5S 2H1 or any other charity of your choice.
