ROBERT (BOB) MICHAEL MORRISON 1964 - 2007 It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Robert Morrison, on Sunday, May 13, 2007 at the Victoria Hospital at the age of 42 years. Remaining to forever cherish Bob's memory are his beloved wife of 19 years of marriage, Alison; three children, Bradley (16 years), Christine (13 years) and Scott (10 years); surviving family members, parents, Francis (Frank) and Marilyn Morrison (Winnipeg); sisters, Patricia (Brian) MacDonald (Ottawa), Melanie (Garry) Hawkins (Winnipeg), Sheila (Paul) Reed (Sarnia); brother Greg (Jennifer) Morrison (London); Alison's parents, Rose and Albert Lucas (Winnipeg) and the entire Lucas family; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Born in Kitchener, ON June 28, 1964, Bob was a graduate of Fort Richmond Collegiate, University of Manitoba (Bachelor of Education) and recently completed his Masters of Education. He was a teacher at St. Alphonsus School, Assistant Principal at St. Boniface Diocesan High School, Principal at St. Maurice School and most recently Principal at St. Charles Catholic School. Bob was actively involved in various sports and activities in the community as a parent, sportsman, coach, volunteer and friend. Much time was spent coaching and managing his children's sport teams. He was a great organizer and had the ability to mobilize resources to make things happen. Bob loved his family dearly and always made time to do the extras with his children. He was a true professional, a caring leader and a passionate Catholic educator living the vision and values of the Catholic Church. Bob lived his faith and walked the talk, clearing a path for others to follow. His priority was spending quality time with Alison and the children. Bob was an avid movie buff (history, wars). Other pastimes included watching movies with his family, reading, all sports (hockey, golf) fishing and spending family time at Silver Islet (the summer camp). Not just a person who came into our lives, Bob touched the hearts of everyone who knew him and left a footprint on our souls. God Bless and keep him in the palm of His hands. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 18 at 1:00 p.m. in the St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 255 Stafford Street at Corydon Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to the National Crohn's Society, 4 Beaumont House, Sutton Road, St. Albans, Herts AL1 5HH, or to the Robert Morrison Children's Education Fund which is currently being established. To Those I Love and Those Who Loved Me When I am gone, release me, let me go... I have so many things to see and do. You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears; Be happy that we had so many years. I gave to you my love, you can only guess How much you gave to me in happiness. I thank you for the love you each have shown, But now it's time I travelled on alone. So grieve a while for me if grieve you must; Then let your grief be comforted by trust. It's only for a while that we must part, So bless the memories within your heart. I won't be far away, for life goes on; So if you need me, call and I will come, Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll be near And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear, All of my love around you soft and clear. And then, when you must come this way alone, I'll greet you with a smile and say, Welcome Home.
