ANDREW (ANDY) CHRISTOPHER WALES It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Andy on Sunday, May 13, 2007 at the age of 46 years. Remaining to forever cherish Andy's memory are his daughter Jenna; son Trent; their mother, Brenda (Rick); sister and brotherinlaw, Sally and Dave McCulloch; niece Cara McCulloch (son Noah); nephews, David Jr. and Michael McCulloch; Aunt Agnes Hamilton; cousins, Barbara (Jim Smith), Bill, his daughter Cathy (mother Susan) Hamilton; Aunt Millie Beaudoin and family of Minneapolis; special friend Trina White and her children, Amy (Mike), grandson Ashton, Adam; and numerous friends and coworkers. He was predeceased by his father John (1961), mother Dorothy (2000), Uncle Dave Hamilton (2002) and Dave McCulloch Sr. (2006). Born in Detroit, Michigan on August 25, 1960 Andy then moved to Winnipeg in 1962 with his mother and sister following the death of his father. Raised in St. James, on Moorgate Street, Andy attended Strathmillan School and Silver Heights Collegiate. In 2006, he proudly celebrated his 25th year as a District Service Worker with Winnipeg and Manitoba Hydro. Andy's years at school and work blessed him with many cherished friendships. The best times Andy had were those spent with Trent and Jenna having enjoyed many special camping and fishing trips with them at Rushing River and the Big Whiteshell. In recent years Andy found happiness in his relationship with Trina and her family. He was well known for his love of sports. We are sure the Oakland Raiders and Detroit Red Wings will miss their # 1 fan. Andy was also a music buff. His radio and CD player were always blasting some classics 1970s rock tune and he also knew all the trivia to go along with the song. Much enjoyment was found in family gettogethers. Never did he miss anyone's birthday or special event. Andy had a heart of gold. Nature was a love of his; he knew every bird in the sky. Andy's Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 19 at 10:30 a.m. in the Assiniboia Christian Centre, 3390 Portage Avenue at Rouge Road, with Rev. Msgr. Maurice Comeault, P.H., officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Andy's memory to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R2L 1X3.
