Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRACHELLE JEANNIE MARIE LEOST (PERSTAY) February 2, 1969 - May 12, 2007 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and tragic passing of a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunty. She will be forever missed and remembered by her loving husband Perry Gaudry and her three beautiful sons, Dylan (15), Zachary (12), and Ryan (10), to whom she was a completely devoted mother. She will be so sadly missed by her mom and dad, Rose and Don Leost; her six sisters, Bernice (Joe), Denise (Ed), Louise (Butch), Elise (Dano), Muriel (Elmer), Giselle (Michael) and sister-in-law Holly; her father-in-law Elmer (Verna); mother-in-law Jeannine (Bernard) and sister-in-law Lizette (Lorne). She was predeceased by her brother Lloyd Leost on November 15, 1999 as well as grandparents, Eva Boyer, Norman Gaudry, and Jane and Jean Leost, and other uncles and cousins. She will also be so sadly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who were always visiting Aunty Perstay's house to dance and listen to music. She had many special friends that she had made through the promotion of her sons' music and at one time working her hot dog cart at community special events and working nearly 20 years at Costco. She worked tirelessly to nurture her sons' talents, not only in music but also in sports. She also loved to help her husband out on the farm and was considered the Humane Society of St. Laurent for all of the stray dogs and cats that she took in. We will all miss her August long weekend Metis Days pig roast and parade floats that she loved to organize. The Gaudry, Boyer, and Leost families want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all the cards, flowers, calls, prayers and support that we received. Funeral services will be held at St. Laurent R.C. Church on Saturday, May 19 with prayers at 10:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews, Jay Carriere, Edward Driskell, niece Melanie Jarmuske, cousins, Norbert Ducharme, Lucille Ducharme and Allan Gaudry. All her other nieces and nephews are considered honourary pallbearers. We did not know that morning What sorrow the day would bring The bitter grief and shock severe To part with the one we love so dear You bid no one a last farewell Gave no chance to say goodbye You were gone before we knew it Only God knows why It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone For part of each of us went with you The day our Father called you home Though your smile is hidden now And your hand we cannot touch We will forever remember The one we loved so much Gone jigging with Lloyd - Sistas We're here for a good time not a long time. A Trust Fund has been set up in the boy's names at the St. Laurent Caisse Populaire Credit Union in response to the many gifts of donations. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
