REGINALD LORNE THOMAS May 19, 1919 May 16, 2007 No words can express the sorrow we feel in announcing the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Reg on Wednesday, May 16, 2007. Remaining to cherish his memory forever are his son, Richard (Lynne), daughter Cherylle (Larry), grandchildren, Terri (Darryl) Armstrong, Glenn (Rheanne) Unryn and Karen Unryn, great-grandchildren, Kyle, Jeremy, Josh and Amanda, two sisters, Mildred Toyne and Florence Crolly. Reg now joins his beloved wife Freda. Reg was a kind and loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who had a love for life and a fantastic sense of humour. He always had a kind word for everyone and made friends everywhere he went. Reg was born in Winnipeg where he spent most of his life. He served overseas during the Second World War with the Royal Regina Rifles. He was a proud Canadian and veteran of D-Day (Juno Beach). After returning home he resumed his apprenticeship with the CNR where he worked as a Carman until his retirement. The pallbearers will be Glenn Unryn, Darryl Armstrong, Trevor Toyne, Wayne Thomas, John Walker and Carl Gerylo. Viewing will be held Monday, May 21 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the charity of their choice.
