THELMA MURIEL SAARINEN With sad hearts we announce the passing of Thelma Muriel on May 11, 2007 at age 82 after a short illness and hospitalization. Mom resided in Ladner, BC, and was formally of Winnipeg, which she always held dear to her heart. She is survived by her husband Ray of 56 years, daughter and son-in-law Diane and Jim Coulter of Winnipeg, son and daughter-in-law Bruce and Vicki of Kelowna, grandson Elijah residing in Australia and daughter Liisa of Victoria. Mom dedicated her entire life to her husband and children. She had such a passion for people and always opened her heart and home, which included wonderful meals and baking. Mom will be greatly missed by her family and all her friends. The family wish to extend sincere thanks to her friends for their care and support and the staff at Delta and Surrey Memorial Hospitals. Special thanks to her family physician Dr. Janice Kirkpatrick, I.C.U. Dr. Anne McNamara, Terry, Annettte, Pastor Perri and all the compassionate nurses in I.C.U. for their care. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family. Until we meet again.
