JILL PETRINA ARNASON At 6:45 p.m. May 12, 2007 the light dimmed for our precious Jill. There is now a new star in the sky, brighter than the rest. Jill Petrina Arnason was born December 28, 1964 the fourth child to Willie and Donna-Mae Arnason. Jill attended Faraday and Isaac Newton Schools in Winnipeg as well as Gimli High School. Post secondary education was at the University of Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Geography. Jill's childhood was one happy adventure after another. Her happiest times were spent at Willow Island, whether it be mini biking, air boating, or even catching minnows. Jill worked a variety of jobs throughout her life. From bartending at a seniors complex, working on petroleum issues for an environmental firm, to finally settling onto her greatest achievement and the one she took the greatest pleasure, Real Estate Professional for Interlake Real Estate in Gimli. Each and every person she came into contact with will always remember a trustworthy, ethical professional who always put other's needs ahead of her own. In the case of any moral dilemma, Jill always would remind us a decision wasn't right ... if you can't sleep at night . Being around Jill was akin to spontaneous combustion . She lit up every room and truly enjoyed life to the fullest. She was courageous and dignified to the end, and truly inspired many people. David and Jill celebrated 20 years of togetherness this year, and finally got married on February 5, 2007. This was especially memorable because Indiana was included in the ceremony, and shared in the exchange of vows. For their little girl it was a fairy tale come true. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude for Dr. R.C. Patel, and each and every one affiliated with the Gimli Community Health Centre from the nurses to the cleaning staff. Jill always had the brightest outlook and loved each and every one of you. Special mention goes out to Sigrun Asmundson, and Janice Dey who were our family's Rocks and never left Jill's side throughout this ordeal. Indiana's godparents Kim and Laurence Humniski were on the job around the clock, making sure the little girl was always picked up on time, fed, bathed, and always kept distracted to lessen the inevitable blow we would all face. Left to cherish her memory, husband Dave Humniski and daughter Indiana Mae Arnason Humniski. Jill is survived by her parents, Willie and Donna-Mae, her siblings and their families, who each were very special in her heart, Tracy Jakobson (Karl), Arni, Elise, and Willie, Brad (Christine), Jeffrey, Lindsay, Jesse, Christy Liebrecht (Don), Cassie, Taylor and Sam, Jodi Luprypa (Michael), Piper; sister-in-law Jo-Ann Humniski; brother-in-law Brian Humniski (Denise), Karina and Jonathon. Celebration of her life is to be held at 2:00 p.m. May 28, 2007 at the Gimli Park Pavilion. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gimli Animal Shelter. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
