ELSIE SIGURDSON (MCGURK) (nee DREGER) It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Elsie Sigurdson (Elsie McGurk, nee Dreger) on Monday, May 14, 2007 at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 79 years after a brief illness. Remaining to forever cherish Elsie's memory are her son Terry McGurk (Jean); daughter-in- law Marilyn McGurk; grandchildren, Kathy Kozak (Kim), David McGurk (Marla), Shawn McGurk (Melanie), Shane McGurk (Heather), Brett McGurk; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Hilda, Edna, Martha, Olga, Emily, Hertha; and brothers, Henry and Herb. She was predeceased by her son Brian McGurk; husband George McGurk; second husband Victor Sigurdson; parents, Emil and Helen Dreger; brothers, Wilhelm, Edward, Rynold, Bert and Victor. A service for Elsie will be held at a later date, where she will be laid to rest with George in the Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elsie's memory to Ronald McDonald House, 566 Bannatyne Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3A 0G7 or to the Children's Wish Foundation of Canada (Manitoba Chapter), 350 St. Mary Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2.
