DONALD (PONCHO) CHARLES DIGNARD On May 14, 2007 at the Riverview Health Centre, Donald Charles Dignard, beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle, passed away after a long fight with cancer at the age of 54. He was predeceased by his parents John and Margaret Dignard. Donald is survived by his sons Patrick and Dylan Dignard; daughters, Samantha (Joe Esteves) and Sandra (Harold Amos) Dignard; brothers, Ernie, Carl and Gary; and sisters Kathleen (Dan), Judy, Joyce (Les) and Lila (Billy); and grandchildren, Austin, Shayla, Tyler, Tyson, Jade, James, and Noah; and numerous nieces and nephews. Born on November 27, 1952 in Pine Falls, Donald was raised in Powerview, MB and later moved to Winnipeg, MB. He was a very caring person and was always there for us when we needed him. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart. A special thanks to Joyce Nagy, Richard Smith, Alyson and Michelle Settee, and Lenard Mitchell for being there by his side until the end. We would also like to thank the staff at the Riverview Palliative Care. Pallbearers will be Richard Smith, Nathan Settee, Anthony Cote, Jessie Lambert, Bryer Settee, and Austin Guimond-Dignard. Honorary Pallbearers are Patrick Dignard, Dylan Dignard, Dallas Dignard, and Harold Amos Prayers will be said on Monday, May 21, at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with a funeral service on Tuesday, May 22 at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Waverley Memorial Gardens. A lunch will be held at 980 Pritchard Avenue. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Donald's memory to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave. Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB, R3E OV9. We love you and miss you dad, love Sandra and Samantha. I am so at loss what happened to Carl; he passed away this month - February. I have not met any of his family; and was happy to see his name in this file. And wondered if this was same Carl.
