MARJORIE GAIL VAN NORMAN (nee MATTHEWS) February 15, 1937 May 17, 2007 Suddenly on Thursday, May 17, 2007 Marjorie left this world to be reunited with her husband John, in Heaven. Remaining to forever cherish Marjorie's memory are her son Robert; daughter Dawn; grandsons R.J. and Kalvin; as well as several cousins. As a young woman, Mom belonged to the Tip Toppers Club and danced at the Tipolay Theatre. Throughout her life Mom remained active. She swam regularly at the St. James Civic Centre, golfed at the Elm Creek Golf Course, and enjoyed clog dancing with a seniors dance group. She loved to take her dog Joe to the Dog Park and enjoyed the outdoors; camping and swimming at the beach in the summer. In compliance with Marjorie's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marjorie's memory to The Winnipeg Humane Society, 5 Kent St., Winnipeg, MB, R2L 1X3, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6-200 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6, or to the charity of one's choice.
