TANIS TESS MENLOVE Peacefully, following a lengthy illness. Tanis was dearly loved by her husband Bruce; her children, Mark (Kelly Goode) and Meredith (Paul Vogt); grandson Andrew; and sisters, Rae Bellingham, Dixie Martin and their families. She was predeceased by sons, John, Sandy and Peter. Tanis devoted herself to the care and raising of her family. Her greatest pleasure came in nurturing others, and she brought a mother's warmth and a keen artistic sense to everything she did. Tanis put her cooking and decorating skills to work as a house mother at Villa Rosa (where she worked evenings and weekends for ten years) and as a volunteer for the Royal Winnipeg Ballet's Things Shop, St. Aidans Anglican Church and St. Mary's Anglican Church. She took great joy in her grandson Andrew, who she cared for during his early years, teaching him to read before kindergarten. Summers were spent at the cottage in Whytewold, where family gathered and friends were always welcome. She will be missed by those whose lives she touched. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Health Sciences Centre GD4 for their compassion and kindness. A memorial service will take place on Friday, May 25 at St. Mary's Anglican Church, 3830 Roblin Blvd., at 2:00 p.m. Flowers are gratefully declined, but those who wish may make a donation in Tanis's name to a charity of their choice.
