Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSEMARY ALBI It is with profound sadness that we announce that Rosemary Albi passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the Riverview Health Centre with her family by her side. She was predeceased by her mother Gilda in 1956, her father Frank in 1988, and her brother Raymond in 2006. Left to mourn are her best friend and step-mother Rosaria; her brothers Wilfred (Marjorie) and Frank (Elaine); her sister-in-law Zoe; her nephews and nieces Andrea (Brent) and Christopher, Frank (Cecile) and Carla (Paul), and Guy (Danni) and Christina (Kevin); her aunt Florence; her many grand-nephews and grand-nieces; cousins in Canada, the US, and Italy; and numerous devoted friends. We will long treasure the memories of her kind heart, her bustling energy, and her selfless dedication to family and friends. Rose was born in Winnipeg on July 4, 1927. She attended St. Mary's Academy. She worked for many years in the Records Department at the St. Boniface Hospital, until her retirement in 1993. Rose found her true calling, however, in looking after others. She always put the needs of her family before her own, from quitting her job to take care of her sick mother in the 1950s to always having cake ready for her nephews and nieces dropping by the house on Wolseley Avenue, where she lived her entire life. Only in the past few months, as arthritis debilitated her, she was finally forced to receive more assistance than she could give to others. Her strong Roman Catholic faith sustained her throughout her life and brought her peace in her final days. She will be missed grievously by all who knew her. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue on Thursday, May 24 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery on Osborne Street, with a reception afterwards at Holy Rosary Church. Donations in Rosemary's memory may be made to the Riverview Health Centre or to a Charity of one's choice. The Albi family would like to express our deep thanks to the nurses and staff at the Riverview Health Centre for their attentive care the past few weeks for our dear aunt, sister and friend Riposo in pace.
