Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRAYMOND HENRY BROWN Suddenly on May 17, 2007, with his children at his side, Raymond Henry Brown of Elm Creek, MB, formerly of Eriksdale, MB, passed away at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 71. Left to cherish his love and memory are his children, Pam, Eleanor and Richard (Evelyn), and their mother Wendy. He will also be sadly missed by Lucienne Brown; his brother, Arthur (Brenda); sisters, Rose (Phil) and Jean (Ron); several nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends. Raymond was predeceased by his parents Donald and Eva Brown and brother Richard. Born August 5, 1935 in Eriksdale, Manitoba, Ray grew up on the family farm where he developed a great love for the lifestyle and pursued it for the rest of his working life. He was an incredibly hard working man who took on the responsibilities of running a farm with pride and dedication until his retirement in 1999. His love of the outdoors kept him busy in his woodlot and garden in Elm Creek. Everyone that met Ray appreciated his lively spirit and cheerful smile; as well as his playful sense of humour and boisterous laugh. He loved old time country music, dancing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. He was a devoted and caring son, as well as a dependable friend and neighbour. Ray was always willing to lend a hand to those in need, and greatly appreciated acts of kindness that were shown to him. He will always be very fondly remembered as a kind, generous, and loving father and uncle. Although he had encountered many medical challenges in the last several years of his life, he persevered and remained optimistic throughout each setback. His tremendous strength and courage was an inspiration to all. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2007 at the St. Cuthbert's Cemetery with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. (The cemetery is located 5 miles west of Eriksdale on Provincial Hwy #417. Turn left on Broadway Road and travel south on Broadway for six miles. The cemetery is on the west side.) We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the staff of the Boundary Trails Health Centre of Winkler, as well as the Health Sciences Centre for their care and support. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friends of St. Cuthbert's Trust account in care of Gertrude Miller, PO Box 136, Eriksdale, MB R0C 0W0. Arrangements by: ARNASON FUNERAL HOMES LTD.
