JEANNETTE GRACIA HEYSER (nee POIRIER) October 12, 1930 May 19, 2007 It is with deep sorrow and loss that we announce the sudden passing of our mother and grandmother, Jeannette. She was predeceased by Rene, her husband of 43 years. Jeannette will be dearly missed by her five daughters, Yvette (Clive) Perry, Jacqueline (Gabriel) DiMattia, Lorraine, Michele (Gordon) Rivest and Patricia (Kim Lane), and her grandchildren, Rhys, Lauren, Adrienne, Jaclyn, Steven, Alessandra and Andreas. Jeannette was a devoted mother and grandmother. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, and was an accomplished cook and talented seamstress. She was an active volunteer for Les Guides Catholiques du Canada and Meals on Wheels. Among her many activities, she especially enjoyed her social life with the Golden Girls from Pembroke Road and fellow hobbyists creating porcelain dolls. The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks to the attentive and caring staff at Golden Links Lodge (Special Needs Unit) and Rosewood at the Waverly. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 DesMeurons Street on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jeannette's memory to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 120 Donald Street, Winnipeg R3C 4G2.
