Stuart died peacefully at Winston Park Retirement Home, Kitchener, Ontario, on Thursday, May 17, 2007, in his 89th year. Born an army brat in Folkestone, England, on September 10, 1918. He was a graduate of R.M.C. in Kingston and began his Air Force career that continued until retirement 30 years later. He settled in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, for nine years before moving to London, Ontario, where he lived for 26 years. After the passing of his wife Bobby, he moved to Kitchener to be closer to his family. Beloved husband of the late Audrey (Bobby) Stuart (March 18, 2005). Loving father of James Upton and his wife Marie of Waterloo. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Amy, Libby, Nicole and Deryk; and six great-grandchildren. Also surviving is his niece Jill von Teichman of Thornbury, Ontario. Predeceased by his son Ian K. L. Stuart (1972). A private graveside service was held at Woodland Cemetery, London. In lieu of flowers donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home, 519-452-3770.
