Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILLIAM (BILL) HUSELAK February 4, 1920 - May 19, 2007 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of William (Bill) Huselak, our dear husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years, Mabel, his three children, Brian (Diane), Jacquie (Merv), Lynda (Terry) Asher and grandchildren, Jamie, Laura and Doug. He was predeceased by his mother Tina, father Peter, sister Anne and brother Walter. Bill was born in Winnipeg and raised in Lockport. He served his country for four years during the Second World War and was first stationed in Vernon, BC, where he met and married Mabel Checkowsky. After the war he returned from overseas where he and Mabel found a home in Lockport, later moving to Selkirk where he worked at the Manitoba Rolling Mill until his retirement. He was an avid fisherman and took his children on many fishing trips. Later in life he especially enjoyed fishing with his son and grandchildren. Over the years, Bill enjoyed getting together with his brothers and sisters-in-law. More recently, he had valued the visits of Walter and Elsie Stupak from Richmond, BC, along with visits from his many nieces and nephews who came from all regions of the country at family gatherings. A service of remembrance will take place at Little Britain United Church, 5879 Highway #9, Lockport, MB on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Virginia Coleman officiating. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
