ANGELA (NELLIE) UHRYN August 20, 1917 May 22, 2007 On Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at the Victoria Hospital, Nellie Uhryn passed away. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Hank (Joan) of Calgary, Larry (Cherylle) of Winnipeg, and Sandy (Rick) of St. Albert, her five grandchildren, Brad (Jeanna), Glenn (Rheanne), Karen, Colin, and Lauren, and her two great-grandchildren, Amanda, and Alana. She was predeceased by her husband Henry in 1994, her brother Stan and parents, Joseph and Mary Gmiterek. Nellie was born in St. Boniface and lived her entire life in the Winnipeg area. In her early years, Nellie resided with her parents and brother Stan in St. Boniface. Nellie married Henry in 1940 and they initially resided with her parents on an acreage in St. Boniface. Nellie was a warm and supporting person and devoted her life to her family. She was particularly adept at cooking, baking and canning and always had goodies for the children and grandchildren. Nellie also loved flowers and enjoyed gardening which produced a well-landscaped yard. Mom and grandma we all will miss you, rest peacefully.
