STANLEY BARRETT BRYDGES (WOJ) November 19, 1931 - May 21, 2007 At the age of 75, after a lengthy illness, Stanley Barrett Brydges passed away peacefully at his home in Narol, MB. He was surrounded by his loving and caring wife and extended family. Stanley was predeceased by his parents, Dympna and Barrett of Simcoe, Ontario. He leaves to mourn his devoted wife and companion Eleanor, his step-family, Gail and Bill Gorrie, Daryl and Louise Cooper, both from Winnipeg and Christie and Vern Milton of Colorado. Stanley had a varied and successful career life. He began as a young lad working as a stock boy; eventually he did various jobs in sales which lead him to a career with the Lloyd's of London and lastly with the Victaulic Co. His work with Victaulic took him from coast to coast, to the various mines within Canada. Stan cherished the memories of these travels which he often shared with his family. Eventually these travels would bring Stan to Winnipeg on business where he met the love of his life Eleanor. They went on to spend the past 30 years together. They enjoyed short trips to the US but most of all each others company. He will be greatly missed. We would like to thank the team of health care workers on 3S at the Grace Hospital for the great care, as well as the Drs. and technicians at CancerCare Manitoba along with Dr. Harris and Dr. Hotfluss. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, May 25, at 2:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, in Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. There is no death in heaven.
