ALAN MELNIC Peacefully, on Sunday, May 20, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer, our brother and uncle Alan, passed away at the age of 53, from St. Eustache, MB. He was predeceased by his father (Jos) Stanley Melnic and mother Della Melnic (nee Menard), sister Thérese, sister-in-law Lea and Shirley. He is survived by siblings, John, Leon (Rolande), Doris (Noel), Roger, Maurice (Gayle) and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Dr. Storoschuk (Pan Am Clinic), Dr. Unrau (Health Sciences Centre), Dr. M. Ahmed and nurse Rebecca from Manitoba Cancer Care. Dr. Sisler and nurse Gisele from the Pain Clinic. A special thanks to Leon and Rolande for their care and compassion throughout his illness. In tears we saw you sinking, We watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay, You faced your task with courage, Your spirit did not bend Still you kept on fighting Until the very end. God saw you getting tired When a cure was not to be So he put His arms around you And whispered come with me So when we saw you sleeping So peaceful, free from pain We could not wish you back To suffer that again. At Alan's request, a private family service will be held. Arrangements entrusted to: Chapel Lawn Funeral Home 885-9715
