ADOLF KRAUS Adolf Kraus passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks General Hospital on Sunday, May 20, 2007. Adolf will be missed by his wife of 45 years, Hilda (nee Russell); sons, Gunter (Susan), Peter, and Dieter (Joanne); daughters, Linda (Jim), Ramona (James), and Kathy; grandchildren, Melissa, Paul, Bradley, Curtis, Stephanie, and Amber; his mother Cecilia; brothers, Manfred and Eddie; and sisters, Valerie and Ingrid; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Adolf spent much of his life taking care of his family and ensuring that his wife and children were looked after. He spent his younger years playing soccer in Germany and after moving to Canada and marrying Hilda, he coached children's soccer. He taught his children to think for themselves and to be strong, independent people. In his retirement years, Adolf spent many hours looking after his grandchildren and watching them grow up. Adolf was a devoted husband and father and while he is gone in body, his spirit will always live on in the hearts of his wife, children and grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 29 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's (German) Roman Catholic Church, 355 Andrews. Viewing one- half hour prior to service.
