PETER SOLOMON March 27, 1939 May 23, 2007 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, Peter Solomon, of Tolstoi, MB. Peter will be missed by daughters, Donna (Manfred), Gail (Domenic) and Cynthia; grandsons, Adrian and Julian; sisters, Martha (Ralph), and Elsie (Barry); brothers, Maurice (Eileen) and Joe (Maline); and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Ann Solomon, and brother Donald. Peter will be remembered for his kindness and generosity, his quick wit and his sense of humour. He began his career as a teacher, then spent several years as a foreman at Building Products and Winnipeg Supply before settling on the farm. He was a skilled and renowned mechanic with a great love of farming. Peter was also a respected member of the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Orthodox church and spent many years serving as president. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to everyone at Vita Hospital for their care and attention over the last year. No words can express our deep gratitude to Noel and Jenny Ryan, James Krueger, Albert LePage, Ken Irwin, the Holodryga and Penner families. Peter's life will be celebrated with prayers on Monday, May 28, 2007, at 7:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr, Steinbach, MB.
