Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN MAUDE PHILLIPS (nee CRAIG) 1921 2007 It is with great sadness that the family of Helen Phillips announces her passing away on May 24, 2007 at the age of 86. Her devoted husband of 60 years, Gordon Phillips, and numerous nieces and nephews, along with their families survive her. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Dorothy and Lorna and brothers, Allan and Ken. A lifetime Winnipegger, Helen was a warm and energetic woman up to her final years. Active in her church, Westworth United, for many years, she freely gave of her time and compassion. Her entire working career of 43 years was spent at Eaton's, an institution she felt proud to be employed with. Her outside interests included badminton, travel, spending time at the family cottage in Sandy Hook, and bargain shopping at garage sales, often in the company of her sister Lorna. The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority's Home Care program, in particular Lisa and Remi, who provided Helen with kindness above the demands of service. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 30 at 2:00 p.m. at Westworth United Church, 1750 Grosvenor Avenue, Winnipeg. Interment will be at a later date.
