Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH RADWANSKI It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Radwanski on May 23, 2007 at Gimli Community Health Centre. Joseph was predeceased by his beloved wife Sophie Radwanski on April 18, 2007 and by his siblings, John Radwanski, Vicky Papuga (Peter), Nick Radwanski, Agnes Radwanski, Victor Radwanski, Verna Trohubiak, Harold Radwanski and Stanley Radwanski. He leaves to mourn his sister, Rose Kowalchuk; brother Peter Radwanski (Pearl), Mary Sianchuk, Christine Sulymka (Stan), Paul Jones (Lydia); sisters-in-law Marianne and Aileen Radwanski, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Joseph was born on April 23, 1920 in Danbury, Saskatchewan to parents Walter and Annie Radwanski. He spent time in the army, met Sophie in Hyas, Saskatchewan and they married on June 24, 1944 in Hamilton, Ontario. They celebrated their 60th anniversary in 2002. Joseph was a very artistic person a great tailor and craftsman. His talents as a craftsman were evident in the birdhouses, sleighs, purple martin houses, and loons, he constructed. He also enjoyed restoring and selling antiques as well as gardening. He has won prizes for his beautiful gardens, full of gorgeous tulips, roses and other beautiful plants. Joseph was a gentle, loving, caring and compassionate person He gave unselfishly of himself and enriched the lives of all who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed by all. The family wishes to thank Lori and the RCMP in Selkirk for their efforts and the hospital staff at Gimli Community Centre for all their help. Thanks to all who expressed their condolences, concern and support. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Winnipeg Beach on Highway 9 at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday, May 31, 2007, with interment to follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Winnipeg Beach. Gilbart Funeral Home in Selkirk is in care of the arrangements.
