Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE MORAN Peacefully, in Sidney, on May 24, 2007 our loving father slipped into the nearer presence of our Lord and was reunited with the love of his life, Iris. Born in Winnipeg, February 21, 1914 he will be mourned by his sons, David (Elaine) and John (Linda); brothers, Doug and Jack, and numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Les was a 47 year employee of the T. Eaton Company, working in the mail order. During the Second World War he served in the RCAF in Canada. In his early adulthood he was active in the scouting movement. In later years he and mom were avid square dancers and dad became an instructor and caller. They were long time active members of St. Martin-in-the-fields Anglican church in Winnipeg. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spent many happy summers at their cottage on Lea River. After our mom's passing, he moved to Sidney and where he was active at St. Andrew's Church, Silver Threads, bowling and enjoyed weekly outings with his brothers. He lived the last years of his life at St. Andrew's Abbeyfield house and his life was enhanced by the community and house mothers that he enjoyed there. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held at St. Martins-in-the-fields, 160 Smithfield Avenue, Winnipeg at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 31 with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers please send donations to St. Martin-in-the-Fields Memorial Fund.
