Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE MCDONALD (KELLY) Rose McDonald passed away peacefully in her sleep Saturday, May 26, 2007 at the River East Personal Care Home. Born in County Cork, Ireland, June 22, 1916, she will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Joyce (Randy); sons, Gordon (Debbie) and Murray; grandsons, Jason (Jennifer) and Jeremy (Katie), and great-grandson William. She was predeceased by her husband Alex, and her son Mickey. Mom married Dad in 1945 and came to Canada where they resided on the McDonald family farm, before moving to Winnipeg. Mom always considered raising her family her most important job, but did work outside the home, first as a caterer and then for many years with the Children's Aid Society. Mom was a very courageous and kind-hearted person and chose to live her life with dignity and grace and a good sense of humour. The Family wish to thank the staff of River East Personal Care Home for the kind and friendly care they extended to Mom for the past three years. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Gerard Parish, 45 Foster St., with interment to follow at Green Acres Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jason and Jeremy Brooks, David Oike, Gary Swarbrick, Roy Rosmus and Barry Preston. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
