LOUIS DESIRE PERRIN On Friday, May 25, 2007, Louis Perrin passed away peacefully at the Ste. Anne's Hospital at the age of 90. He leaves to mourn his two sisters, Thérèse (Marcel Giroux) and Marie Boulet; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Tobie, Jean, Georges, Lucien, Germain, Maurice; and his sisters, Sister Yvonne, Sister Raymonde, Sister Alice, Annette Gauthier and Jeanne Lavack. Louis was born January 8, 1917, in Sainte-Anne-des-Chênes. As a young man he worked in the UCLI Mines in Flin Flon; however, his real love was in forestry as a lumberjack where he worked till he was 67 years old. He also purchased some land over 60 years ago about two miles north of Sainte-Anne and worked as a farmer for much of his life. He will be forever remembered as a gentle man with simple tastes. He welcomed everyone with open arms and made you feel at home in his humble abode. A smile and a twinkle in his blue eyes came easily to Louis and his sense of humour would make you laugh out loud. He had unique, down to earth expressions with a country flavour that made one reflect on the common sense truths that were hidden inside. He loved his farm and his gardening. Many have had the experience of finding vegetables at their doorand you knew Louis had made his rounds. We thank God for Louis who made our lives richer by knowing him. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Ste. Anne's Hospital and home care for their compassionate care. Funeral services will be at the Notre Dame de Lorette Church in Lorette on Thursday, May 31, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. Viewing will begin at 12:30. Interment will take place in the Ste.
