HERVE KERBRAT Peacefully on May 29, 2007, Herve Kerbrat of Ashern, MB, passed away at the age of 80, with his family at his side. Left to mourn are his stepchildren, Keith (Linda), Donna and Barb (Jim); grandchildren, Bev (Andy), Shawn (Mandy), Jason; and two great-grandsons, Adam and Bryce; brother John (Marilyn); sister Marie; sisters-in-law, Elsie and Rose; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Herve was predeceased by his wife Mabel; infant twin brother and sister Yves and Louise; his father Jean and mother Louise; brothers, David and Robert; and brother-in-law Joseph. Dad was born on August 15, 1926, in St. Laurent. He married Mabel on December 31, 1970, and enjoyed her companionship and her family. Dad was very involved in the Elks, the church and he was an avid gardener, supplying many local people with fresh vegetables. He was often seen by everyone on his daily walks, and he loved his pattern dancing. Prayers will be said at 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2007, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Ashern. Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Ashern with Father Michael Raj officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to service at the church. Interment to follow in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Everyone in attendance can consider themselves honorary pallbearers. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the Lakeshore General Hospital for the wonderful care they gave Herve.
