Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES STETZ It is with deep sadness that the family of Frances Stetz announces her passing on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli, MB. Frances will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Valerie Klym; son-in-law Gordon, and grandsons, Ryan and Kevin; her sister Jessie Chapil of Arborg; sisters-in-law, Annie Donkin of Selkirk and Stephie Stetz of Riverton; brothers-in-law, Alex Stetz of Beausejour and Reg Gibbs of Vancouver, as well as many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Dmytro on June 6, 2003; her parents, John (1955) and Anastasia (1975); sisters, Ann Gibbs (1973), Mary Kunka (1995), and Jane Prysazniuk (2004), and brothers, Anthony (1944), Steve (1988), Mike (1996), and Nick (1998). She was born on January 22, 1922 at Hayek, MB. Frances spent her early years on the family farm and later worked for a time for the Stebba Borgford family of the Framnes area and for the Canada Bread Co. in Winnipeg. On June 24, 1950, Frances married Dymtro and together they farmed at Ledwyn, MB until retirement and continued to reside on the farm. Her retirement years were spent on the family farm: cooking, gardening and doing yard work. Throughout these years, Baba also greatly enjoyed the company of her two grandsons, whom she adored. She took great pleasure in attending their school functions and their minor hockey league games. Pallbearers will be Don Stoyanowski, Clarence Smolinski, Mike Starkey, Randy Buchko, Tom Chwaliboga, and Gerret Johnson. Prayers will be said on Thursday, May 31 at 7:00 p.m. in the Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 1 at 10:30 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church, Arborg, with Rev. Fr. Harry Chuckry officiating. Interment to follow at the Ledwyn Ukrainian Cemetery, Ledwyn. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, if so desired, to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, or a charity of one's choice. Until we meet again Vichnaya Pamyat Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
