Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE WILKE August 26 1916 - May 29, 2007 Peacefully on May 29, 2007, Rose Wilke of Beausejour, MB, left our family to be with the Lord, at the age of 90. Rose is survived by her two sons, Roy (Eileen) of Winnipeg and Leonard (Lynda) of Beausejour; five grandchildren, Kelly Beasse (Leonard), Dennis Wilke (Isabelle), Dana Downey (Ryan), Pamela Wilke and Amanda Dehn (Gordon); three great-grandchildren, Nicole Beasse, Ryan Beasse and Adyson Downey. She was predeceased by her husband William; granddaughter Susan Wilke; parents John and Nellie Romas; sister Pearl Semchuk; and brother Walter Romas. Rose was born in Winnipeg, MB, and spent her younger years with her family in Pine Ridge, next to the Birds Hill Park, where her father and mother ran a small store. On September 12, 1939, she married the love of her life William Wilke and settled on a farm just north of Tyndall, MB. In 1955 with their two boys Ray and Len they moved to the town of Tyndall and stayed until 1962. The next move was to Beausejour, MB, where Rose worked at Mosspur, a apparel factory, Clarrie Tea Rm. as the cook and finally for the Polaris Fiber Glass Factory. Rose, by herself, had one more move to Selkirk for 10 years to be closer to bingo! She moved back home to Beausejour July 2006 and resided in the Lions Lodge, where she received excellent care from her many homecare workers. As a family we would like to thank the nurses and doctors who treated her with dignity in her last days. In lieu of flowers donations to the Beausejour Hospital would be appreciated. Your family loves you mom, Rest peacefully A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Russell Funeral Home in Beausejour, MB.
