Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICIA ISABELLE SANDERSON (nee MCARTHUR) Memories are Precious When They're Made With Those We Love... Pat Sanderson, beloved mother of Margaret McKeigan, Duncan Sanderson and Andrea Harrison died peacefully, at the age of 85 years, on May 23, 2007 at her home in Vancouver, BC. She also leaves to mourn her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Pat was born in Gilbert Plains, MB on July 26, 1921. During the Second World War, she joined the Air Force. Pat and husband Cliff spent many years in Red Lake, ON and Elliot Lake, ON where Cliff was employed in the mining industry. They later moved to Calgary, AB and Surrey, BC. They were married for 40 years before Cliff's passing in 1984. Pat was a beautiful seamstress and quilt maker and loved to knit. She devoted many hours to these hobbies, ensuring her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren had sweaters, mittens and lovely quilts to keep them warm. She was a devoted homemaker in every way. She loved to cook and bake and kept her family stocked with special treats for many years. In recent years, Pat's health was compromised with the onset of Parkinson's Disease. Pat is now at peace and we will miss her. A memorial service is being planned for June 30 in Vancouver. For anyone wishing to do so, donations in Pat's memory may be made to the Parkinson's Society, 302 - 171 Donald Street. God looked around His garden And found an empty place, He then looked down upon the earth And saw your weary face. He put His arms around you And lifted you to rest. He saw the road was getting rough, And the hills were hard to climb, So He closed your weary eyelids And whispered, Peace Be Thine.
