RHEA MAY PRISCILLA HUDSON (nee CHARTRAND) Rhea died peacefully, surrounded by family, on May 25, 2007 at Nanaimo Regional Hospital, in the loving warmth of the Palliative Care Unit, following a brave fight with cancer. Rhea was born on May 19, 1939 in St. Laurent, MB, did her schooling there and at St. Charles. She held various positions during her vocational years, including service with the C.B.C. from 1984 to 1997. When she retired she was executive secretary to the Regional Director of Television. From 2003 until 2007 Rhea had accepted the position of office manager with Canadian Media Research Consortium. She carried out her duties with confidence and pride and loved this work. Rhea will be sadly missed - forever - by her loving husband Gerald, and his daughters, Annette (Damian) and Karen, and two grandchildren, Lauren and Stuart in England. Also grieving her loss are her mother Elise; sisters, Loretta (Mike), Rose, Serina (Robert), Corinne (Ken); brother Adrien, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, many friends and neighbours. Donations to Nanaimo and District Hospital Foundation Palliative Care Unit, in memory of Rhea Hudson, requested in lieu of flowers.
