Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOSEPH PAUL VERSCHEURE Peacefully, on May 30, 2007, at the Deer Lodge Centre, Joe passed away at the age of 78 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Therese, and his brother John. He is survived by Hope, his wife of 54 years; children, Louise (Grant), Gerry, Michelle, Rennie (Julia); grandchildren, Christopher, Jeremy, Sarah, Arielle, Daniel, William, Emma and Justina. Joe was born on September 18, 1928, in Winnipeg; he attended St. Paul's High School where he distinguished himself as an athlete. He worked at the Crescent Theatre where he met Hope. In 1948, he began work in the office of the Queen's Printer (previously King's Printer) where he worked for 49 years. After retirement, Joe continued working at the Legislature in the Chamber Branch. He was an active member of St. Ignatius Parish for many years and had numerous good friends in the community. The family would like to thank the staff on 6E of the Deer Lodge Centre, as well as the Dialysis Unit of the St. Boniface Hospital for their special care and support in the past year. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Church, 255 Stafford Street on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at 11:00 a.m., Father Brian Massie Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations in Joe's memory may be made to the Diabetic Society, or to the charity of your choice.
