MERYL MARTIN Peacefully with her family at her side Meryl Martin passed away at the Donwood Personal Care Home on June 1, 2007 at the age of 96. She will be forever cherished by her children, Loraine, Arla, Lynne and Wayne; son-in-law Lorne Huff; 16 grandchildren; 27 great- grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband William; two daughters, Wilma and Lois; two sons-in-law, Lorne S. and Ted; three grandsons, Lorne Jr., Bradley and Grant; two brothers, Cecile and Thomas, and sister Gertrude, as well as numerous extended family. Born in Roland, MB in 1910. She worked at Eatons Candy Dept., Mark Mills, The Chocolate Shop and Rite Way Cleaners. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She volunteered at Donwood Manor Bingo, played cards, crocheted afghans, helped with modeling clothes, and really enjoyed the school children visits. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Pallbearers will be Bud Bibeau, Kelly Huff, Wayne Gregoire, Martin Gregoire, Paul (P.J.) Copet and Stephen O'Gorman. The family wish to thank the staff at the Donwood Manor for their kindness and compassion shown to our Mom. We also would like to thank Dr. Martens and Dr. Kreml.
