BRENDA MARY FRENCH (nee O'BRIEN) Sadly, we announce the passing of Brenda French at Health Science Centre on Saturday, June 2, 2007 as a result of complications following a stroke. Brenda was born in Stafford, England on October 3, 1928. In 1947 she married Frederick French and together with their two children, Paul and Christine, they immigrated to Canada in 1958. They settled in Winnipeg where their daughter Xenia was born. Brenda held various office positions, retiring from Eaton's in 1993 after 17 years of service. She was a member of Eaton's Retirement Club and the Polo Park Mall Walkers until poor health reduced her activities in 2003 at which time she moved into Fred Douglas Heritage House. She leaves behind her daughters, Xenia, Christine (Allan); grandchildren, Colleen and Ryan. She is also survived by her brother Horace (Noreen); sister Vera in England. She was predeceased by her husband Fred (1988); son Paul (1983) and brothers, Cyril and Roy. Following cremation, a Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
