WINIFRED WATTS In loving memory of Winifred Watts who passed away peacefully at Rosewood Lodge in Stonewall, MB, on Sunday, June 3, 2007 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her first husband Ernest Kalb (in 1982); by her second husband Robert Watts (in 1996), and by her daughter Elaine Vashaw (in 2004). Winnie is survived by her brother Herbert Red Slocombe (Diane), many nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and many special friends. She was employed by Eaton's in her early adult years and later worked for Federated Life Insurance until her retirement. Winnie will be sadly missed by all of her family and friends who have loved her dearly and appreciated her zest for life. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 East and Navin Road with interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. The following poem, author unknown, expresses Winnie's last wish: When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free? Miss me a little but not too long and not with your head bowed low; Remember the love that we once shared: Miss me but let me go. For this is a journey we all must take and each must go alone. It's part of the Master's Plan, a step on the road to home. So when you are lonely and sick at heart, go to the friends we know, And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds: Miss me but let me go. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. #1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
