Date of Passing: Jun 01, 2007
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK CLARENCE BUCHANAN 1920 - 2007 On Friday, June 1, 2007, Jack passed away peacefully at the Grace General Hospital, in the loving arms of his granddaughter Cathy, at the age of 86 years. Jack will be sadly missed by all of his family here on earth, but happily welcomed by the woman he loved for 64 years and so desired to be with. Remaining to forever cherish Jack's memory are his daughters, Treva Buckberrough and Judy Young; grandchildren, Cathy (Dino) Francheschetti, Andrea, Michael (Sandra) and Ross (Colleen) Buckberrough; Jackie and Brett (Elizabeth) Young; great-grandchildren, (Cathy) Anthony, David and Sarah; (Andrea) Kaitlyn; (Michael) Hilary, Amy and Luke; (Jackie) Alexs, Teejay and Charity Ann, and (Brett) Gavin; brothers, Del, Ron and Bill, and sister Florence. Daughter Treva will always remember his wave, smile and many kindnesses throughout her life. In her eyes he was the most wonderful father she could ever hope for. Daughter Judy will always remember his many stories and will miss getting the weather updates, but mostly she will miss hearing her dad's voice. Jack fished and golfed regularly. He produced some incredible wood working projects that he loved to do for all of his family and friends. He grew up in the Neepawa area working very hard on the farm. Jack loved the prairies and remained there all his life. His adult working life was devoted to the auto industry (which he loved) for over 30 years. He is, to this day, still respected and remembered fondly by those who knew him in the industry. Jack was extremely proud of his grandson, Mike, who followed in his footsteps into the auto industry. We know you and Mom are finally together, probably dancing to the big band sound of Glen Miller. Give Mom a big kiss from us all. There will be a reception at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg off Hwy. #1 on Wednesday, June 6 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers please donate in Jack's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6.
