DALE MITCHELL June 1, 2007 Peacefully, after a short but courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Dale Arlene Mitchell (nee Smith), on Friday, June 1, 2007, in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital. Dale will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her daughter Courtney Wiles (Paul); her son Liam Mitchell (Abby); her mother Caroline Smith; her sisters, Susan Leigh and Carol Cheetham; brother Philip Smith; and many other family members and friends. Dale was predeceased by her father Edward Smith. In compliance with Dale's wishes, a private service will be held at the Wheeler Funeral Chapel, 211 Regent Ave. W., on Thursday, June 7, 2007, followed by a private interment at St. Vital Cemetery. Thanks to Drs. Pilkey and Crow and to the entire staff in the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for the care and compassion with which Dale and our entire family was treated. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
