Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALFRED HENRY HIEBERT June 3, 2007 It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather and loving husband, at the age of 77. Alf, as he was known to many, was predeceased by his father Peter; mother Catherine; sisters, Tina, Susan, Helen; and brother Edward. He will be lovingly remembered by Hilda, his wife of 54 years; son Dan (Theresa), son Darrell (Tracey); daughter Patricia (Peter); grandchildren, Erika, Kristin, Dallan, Cara, Denyse, Drew, Devin; and great-grandson Aidan. Alf was born in Southern Manitoba where they operated a family farm. After getting married, he and Hilda farmed on their own until their move to Winnipeg where he worked as a mechanic for many years. Alf had a passion for life and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. His passion for having a good time will be missed at family gatherings, but remembered with great joy. Our comfort comes with knowing he is at peace. The family wishes to thank all of his doctors and the wonderful nurses at Victoria Hospital, ICU. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 7, Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St. Interment to follow at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. For those who wish to make donations in lieu of flowers, these will be graciously accepted at either the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200 - 6 Donald St., R3L 0K6, or The Lung Association of Manitoba, 629 McDermot Ave., R3A 1P6, in memory of Alf.
