As Brucie leaves for the spirit world, he leaves behind his best friend and companion, Tommy Bird; his mom, Shirley Menow and Elvis Thomas; brothers, John, William (Tabatha) and their baby girl, Katrina; his sister, Ann-Marie; uncles, Sam Smith and Peter (Marceline) Smith; Foster Parents, Audrey and Stan Hanslip. Bruce loved the outdoors, cutting wood, planting flowers and trees, gardening, cooking outside at his famous fire pit , waking up early to feed his dog Sheba and his faithful cat Schmeegal. He also liked to go to brother Dave's camp and hang out with the boys hunting and fishing. He built a shelf at the patio door so him and Tommy were able to watch and feed the birds in the winter. He liked to go visit Mooshoom Rose and drive Betty Lou's hillbilly tractor. Brucie was a kind, loving, caring and thoughtful person. Tommy would like to acknowledge Chief Glen Hudson for his phone calls and kind words, Councillor, Glennis Sutherland, and also Darlene Bird. Also to Karen (Cam) Spence for the phone calls and donations from Peguis Child and Family Services, Kathy Stevenson at Percy E. Moore Hospital for the support and kind words. Thanks also to my niece Shannon Thomas, my brother Dave and Doreen Bird, sister Angela and my mom Mary Bird for the love and support.
