Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER OREST PERRICK Peacefully on Sunday, June 3, 2007, at the Grace Hospital, Peter passed away at the age of 76. Peter will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his wife Janet; daughter Bev; and son-in-law Jack; grandchildren, Miranda, Cheri, Bobbie-Jo and Peter; and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Elsie and Stella; brother Harry; as well as numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his son Peter Jr.; parents Katherine and Peter; and brothers, William, Steve and Paul. Peter was raised in Pelly, Saskatchewan. He began working for the CNR in 1949 and after 39 years of service, he retired in 1988 as a locomotive engineer. He and his family resided in Transcona. Peter was a very generous and caring man, always willing to lend a hand for family and friends. His many interests included curling, fishing, and especially golf. Over the years he was a member at Pine Ridge, Transcona, and Rossmere golf clubs, where he had many cherished friends. Throughout the last year and a half, Peter faced many challenges, and he took them on with strength, courage, dignity and determination. The family would like to thank the staff at Deer Lodge Centre, the Seven Oaks Day Hospital Program, and the staff in the ICU and 3N at Grace Hospital. Visitation will be held this evening, Wednesday June 6, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street. Funeral rites will be held Thursday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 1500 Day Street, with Father Bill Wasyliw officiating. Interment to follow in Transcona Cemetery.
