LORRAINE ROSALIE PICTON (nee MARKIN) It is with great sadness, on Saturday, June 2, 2007, that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and sister, at the age of 68, after a lengthy battle with lung cancer. Lorraine is now reunited with her mother Stella; father Kuzma; brother Frank, and her companion of over 30 years, Roy. Lorraine leaves behind her daughters, Kim (Jeff) and Marie (Ben); grandchildren, Brendan, Taylor, Shannon (Jason), Jessica; great-grandchildren, Treyvon and Cassidy; sisters, Mary (Tony) and Katie (Mike); along with many cousins, nieces and nephews. While Lorraine lived most of her life in Winnipeg, working at Liptons (formally known as Brooke Bond Inc.) for over 25 years, she quite enjoyed occasionally returning to her birthplace of Benito, Manitoba, where she loved to visit with her family and friends. Lorraine will be forever remembered for her wonderful smile, her giving nature and a sense of humour that could always fill a room full of people with laughter. She truly had a heart of gold and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the staff at Grace Hospice for the wonderful comfort and support that Lorraine had received while in their care. Funeral services will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Saturday, June 9 at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
