On September 28, 1974 she married Guy Girard, and they moved to Winnipeg shortly afterwards. Barb was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed knitting crocheting and sewing. She could often be found in front of her sewing machine designing clothes and costumes for her children and their dolls. When Barb's children started playing ringette she got involved with the Westdale Community Centre. Children have always been very special to Barb and she spent countless hours volunteering at events like pre-teen dances, winter carnivals and breakfast with Santa, to name just a few. Barb you were my best friend! When you had to leave I wish I was there for you and wanted to be. I am glad we chatted a few months before you passed. I wasn't present as to some discussions we previously had. Think of you always. Thank you for being such an amazing friend to my family, especially to myself! So many great memories. <3 - Posted by: leah (very close friend) on: Jul 12, 2025
