ARDEN (BOB) WHITTIER Suddenly, on Sunday, June 3, 2007, Arden (Bob) Whittier, aged 93 years, of Chatfield, Manitoba passed away at Percy E. Moore Hospital in Hodgson. Survived by his wife Orish Whittier; three children, Carol (George) McBride, Charles (Darlene) Whittier, and Frances (Shane) Sigurdson; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his parents; brother William (Bill), and three sisters, Ellen, Genevieve, and Gertrude. Bob loved horses, cribbage, playing cards, eating maple syrup, cars and driving anywhere. He was also very proud of his homemade baked beans. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church in Arborg. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
